Kathy Bernard is looking for her parents.

Willard Frye, 76, and his wife, Patty, 72, of Crown City, about 100 miles south of Columbus, were last seen Thursday driving a dark blue Ford Focus with Ohio license plate DEZ-5765 on state Route 37 toward Wayne County, W.Va.

Willard Frye is in the third stage of Alzheimer’s disease and Patty Frye suffers from dementia and diabetes. Both are without their medication, Bernard said.

The couple, who lived in Grafton until 2004 and in North Ridgeville before that, reportedly locked their caretaker out of their car outside of a restaurant and continued to drive through West Virginia.

Bernard, who lives in Medina, suspects they are lost and confused.

Bernard urges anyone with information to contact the West Virginia State Patrol at (304) 272-5131 or their local law enforcement agency.
