Irene M. Fugitt (nee Dumas), age 90, of Elyria, passed away Thursday morning, March 27, 2008 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 4, 1917 in Elyria and remained a lifelong resident.

Irene was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, observing and listening to trials, going to auctions and tag sales and flower gardening. She was a member of Lake Avenue United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs Donna Reising (William) of Elyria and JoAnn Flores of Denver, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell F. Fugitt in 1999; two sisters, Hazel Jensen and Thelma Watson; a brother Glenn Dumas; and her parents, Robert and Anna Dumas (nee Beal).

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2008. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home Monday, March 31, 2008 at 10 A.M. Rev Robert Gross, Pastor of Lake Avenue United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
