Ruth Ella Ollison (nee Hawthorne), 85, of Lorain, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at St. John West Shore Hospital in Westlake. Mrs. Ollison was born February 17, 1922 in Chiliston, AR and had lived in the Lorain area for 62 years. She was a member of New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Lorain. She worked in laundry services at Angelica Health Care Services from where she retired after many years of services. She also provided daycare at her home for many years, helping to take care and raise many children in her  neighborhood. She loved children and enjoyed cooking, baking and being around her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, Grant Ollison of Lorain; son, Verlee "Faye" Pastor of Lorain; 12 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 5 PM, until time of services at 6 PM, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway in Lorain. Elder Ray H. Robinson Jr. will officiate. Arrangements by Brown-Robinson Funeral Home.
