Elyria High softball team headed to state finals

For the second year in a row, the Elyria High School softball team will be vying for the state title.

After two rain delays Friday afternoon at Brookside Park in Ashland, the No. 1 Pioneers finally put unranked Mason away, 2-1.

The girls will face Hudson, who beat Pickerington Central, 5-4, on Friday for the championship at 3 p.m. Saturday.
