The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Andrew Bradish

Andrew Bradish, 88, formerly of Rocky River, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Bradley Bay Health Center in Bay Village. He was born on February 16, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 in Europe where he was a prisoner of war and served from 1952 to 1955 in the Army’s Intelligence Unit in Japan.
He studied art at Pittsburgh Institute of Art, Chicago Art Institute and Mexico City College, Mexico. He was employed as a commercial artist for Pittsburgh Press, Kaufmann’s Department Store, The Cleveland Press and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He taught art at the Virginia Marti School of Fashion Design, the Pittsburgh Institute of Art, evening classes at Rocky River High School and 24 years at Rocky River Senior Center. Mr. Bradish volunteered three hours a week for 22 years at the Wade Park and Brecksville VA hospitals, where he sketched patients portraits, amassing 3400 volunteer hours. He also sketched at various art shows in the Cleveland area as well as the West Side Market. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marjorie (Ross); nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter, Edward and Charles Bradish, Joseph, Frank, John and Anthony Kozleuchar; sisters, Mary Greiner and Anne Weinheimer.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at
Wakeman Cemetery on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 11:30 A.M. Morman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.mormanfh.com.
