The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

JoAnn Guest, 64, of Ore City, TX, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at
her home after a lenghty illness. She was born January 1, 1943 in Memphis, TN. She had been a Vermilion resident for 33 years before moving to Ore City, TX in 1994. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion and the First Baptist Church, Ore City, TX. She enjoyed bowling, shopping trips with her grandchildren, Bingo, cooking, and family cookouts.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Wesley Guest, of Ore City, TX; sons, Tim Guest, Ore City, TX , Thomas Guest of Vermilion, Bill Guest, of Ore City, TX and Donald Guest of Vermilion; daughters, Terry Shattuck of Ore City, TX, Donna Morris of Vermilion , Ginny Crow of Vermilion, Lori Guest of Lorain and Jamie Cook, Ore City, TX; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruthie Zurka, Gail Dodson, and Dianna Garrison, all of Memphis, TN; and brothers, Edward Howard and Thomas Wayne Garrison, both of Memphis; and her mother, Melba Garrison, of Memphis, TN..
Preceding her in death were her father, Joseph L. Davis; and a sister, Faye Worley.
Friends may call Sunday, June 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Monday, June 4, 2007, at 11 A.M. The Reverend Guy Morton will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Ohio Division Inc., 10501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH
