Kenneth A. Roberts, 56, of Ft. Myers, Florida, died May 26, 2007 after a short illness at Hope Hospice South in Ft. Myers. Born November 4, 1950, he graduated from Oberlin High School in the class of 1970. He worked 20 years in the Lorain County area, delivering milk for Parson"s Dairy and Smith Dairy. Kenny and his family moved to Ft. Myers in 1990 where he worked and managed a dairy near Tampa for 15 years.
Kenny loved golfing, fishing and spending time with his wife and children.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, LuAnn Roberts (nee Hanmer); daughter, Melissa; son, Brad; granddaughter, Leah and a grandson, A.J. due to arrive in July, all of Ft. Myers, FL.; mother Patricia Roberts of Oberlin; brother, Larry of Wakeman; sisters, Michelle Roberts of Avon Lake, Janet Emary of N. Ridgeville, and Kristy Lewandowski of Elyria.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Roberts; paternal grandparents, Hollie and Flossie Roberts; and maternal grandparents, John and Esther Dietlin.
A memorial service was held on June 1, at the Harvey Englhard, Metz Funeral Home in Ft. Myers, and a memorial mass was held on June 9, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wakeman. Local arrangements are being handled by Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
