John A. Spisak, 67, of Avon, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at EMH Health Center, Avon. He was born July 25, 1939 in Cleveland, and has lived in Avon 44 yrs., moving from Lakewood. He was employed by PLIDCO in Westlake, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed scuba, fishing, boating, and softball. He was a 44 year member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jan (nee Kinkopf); children, Deborah Koerner of Avon, Johnny (wife: Diana, deceased) Spisak of Avon, Sherri (Dave) Szabo of Litchfield, and Dawn (Curtis) Balog of Elyria; 11 grandchildren, Cole, Joseph, Ember, Michelle, Jeremy, Audrey, Alex, Alan, Anna, Amy and Adam; one great-grandson, Benjamin; three brothers, Robert, Eddie, and Joe; one sister, Yoli Hershey.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Spisak.
Friends will be received Wednesday, 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 P.M. at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon, where closing prayers will be Thursday. 9:30 A.M., followed by a 10 A.M. mass at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Avon, with the Rev. C. Thomas Cleaton, pastor, officiating. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
