Karen Borocz, (nee Herczeg), 55, a resident of North Ridgeville for 30 years, passed away Monday, June 18, 2007. Karen was born in Cleveland. She was a 1970 graduate of Midpark High School in Brook Park. She was an L.P.N. working at Grace and Parma Hospitals and most recently worked as a legal secretary. Karen was a Councilwoman for the City of North Ridgeville and a 20 year member and Secretary for the F.O.P.A. Western Lodge #28.
She was a beloved wife and companion for 28 years to Greg J.; loving mother of Robert of Schreveport, LA., and Cheryl Devine (Ryan) of Colorado Springs, CO.; dear grandmother of Rosie and Meredith; daughter of Pearl (nee Kral) of Middleburg Heights, and the late Joseph Herczeg; sister of Joe Herczeg of Brook Park and Patricia Smeraldi of Middleburg Heights; Godmother to the late Alex Czelusniak.
Friends may call at The McGorray Bros. Funeral Home of Westlake, 25620 Center Ridge Rd. (Just West of Columbia), Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.. There will be a Funeral Mass at the Assumption of Mary Church, 5555 Smith Rd., Brookpark, on Thursday, June 21st at 10 A.M.. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
