Michelle A. Williams, 44, of Elyria, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at EMH Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born August 2, 1962, in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Ms. Williams was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Elyria. She was a 1980 Elyria West High School graduate, and received an Associate’s of Art Degree from Lorain County Community College in 1989. She enjoyed traveling, family parties, listening to talking books, listening to sports and other programs on the radio, working crossword puzzles, and church activities.
Survivors include her parents, Bruce and Claudette Williams of Elyria; sisters, Stephanie (Carlos) Williams-Taborda of Columbus, Denise (Scott) Williams-Riseng of Lakewood, and special sister, Joyce (John) Snyder of Elyria; brother, Michael (Melissa) Williams of Elyria; grandmother, Delcie Orndorff of Elyria; three nephews; four nieces; and many aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Williams; and grandparents, Joe Orndorff, and Earnest and Dorothy Williams.
Private services were held. Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church Radio Program Fund, 312 Third St., Elyria, OH 44035; The Easter Seals of Northwestern Ohio, 1909 North Ridge Rd., Lorain OH 44055; or the charity of donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
