The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Sherman “Dell” Meeker, age 98, died Saturday, June 23, 2007.
Dell retired from Hanson Mfg. in Cleveland, OH. He was a member of the Brooklyn Senior Citizens, past member of Alhambra, Knights of Columbus and the Parma Elks.
Dell is survived by daugh-ters, Doris (Larry) Schaefer, Shirley (Rocco) Yascone, Ethel Meising and Carole (Bob) Curtin; son, Dell Ray (Janet).
Dell leaves a loving legacy of 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Dell was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, son Raymond and long time companion Rita Priozck.
A mass in celebration of his life will be at Corpus Christi Church, Pearl Rd. & Northcliffe Ave. in Cleveland on Tuesday, June 26 at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Rd., Parma, OH on Monday 1-4 and 6-9 P.M.
