The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

London Brown Jr., 66, went home to be with the Lord, July 2, 2007, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Cohoma, MS, he had lived in Lorain, since 1956. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He had been employed at General Motors for 30 years and at Chevrolet Parma for five years. He was a deacon and Charter Member of Worship Cathedral Incorporated, Statutory Agent, Deacon Ministry chairman, Sunday School Teacher and the National Director of Deacons for Worship and Harvest International Fellowship.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife of 14 years, Mary Hellen Young-Brown; daughters, Elder Satara Brown of Kansas City, MO, Elder Kimberly Brown, Sarita Havens of Lorain, Tamara Brown of Lakewood, Sholanda Brown of Elyria; sons, Cameron Brown, Otis Young of Lorain,; brothers, Frank Brown of Elyria, Bud Brown of Atlanta GA, Kevin Brown, Kansas City MO, Robert Brown, Kansas City, KS, Richard Brown, Leavenworth, KS; sisters, Margarite Brown, Memphis TN, Karen Williams, Kathy Brown, Kansas City, MO, Stella Reed, Flint, MI; aunt, Rosie McMullen, St. Louis MO; uncle, Bush Parchman, Detroit MI; seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 6, 2007 at 11 A.M. at Worship Cathedral, Inc., 321 Colorado Ave. with Apostle Terrance N. Bivins, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 12 noon until 8 P.M. where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. and Friday, July 6, 2007 from 9 to 11 A.M. Interment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Procession will form at 926 Osborn. Condolences may be sent to 300 Washington Ave. #105 44052. Services are entrusted to Rhoden Memorial Home.
