The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Rev. Richard J. Bober

Rev. Richard J. Bober, Pastor of St. Felicitas Church in Euclid, 75, died July 1, 2007 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. Born September 17, 1931, in Lorain. Fr. Bober was a 1949 graduate of Lorain St. Mary High School. He entered St. Charles Seminary in Baltimore from his home parish, St. Stanislaus in Lorain. He was ordained May 18, 1957 for the Diocese of Cleveland. He was an assistant at St. John Cantius in Cleveland from 1957 to 1958. He joined the faculty of Borromeo Seminary in 1958 as professor of Classical Languages. While at Borromeo, he earned his Masters in Classical Languages from Catholic University of America and his Doctorate from The Ohio State University.
He was appointed administrator of the pastoral team at St. Felicitas Church in 1973, and was appointed pastor of  St. Felicitas Church in 2000.
Survivors include sisters, Cecilia Veninchak and Florence Damm both of Lorain; nephews, William Damm of Avon, and Gregory Bober of Las Vegas; niece, Martha Jorgensen of Iowa City.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence J. Bober.
Vespers of the Dead will be sung at 3 P.M. Thursday at St. Felicitas Church followed by Visitation until 9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 6 at 11 A.M. Services will be at St. Felicitas Church, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid, with the Most Rev. Richard G. Lennon officiating.
Burial will take place Friday 2 P.M., at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Contributions can be made to St. Felicitas Building Fund, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid, OH 44143. Arrangements by Brickman Bros. Funeral Home. Online at www.brickmanbros.com
