The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Grace Martello (nee Leonello), 86, a lifetime resident of Willoughby, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at her residence. Born February 3, 1921 in Willoughby, Grace was a member of the Court of Mary and the 50 + Club at the Immaculate Conception Church, Parents of Priests, Browning Senior Center in Willoughby, and Willoughby Womens Club. She enjoyed sewing and traveling.
Survivors include children, Rev. Lawrence N. Martello, Amherst, James F. (Alberta) Martello, Dorset, and Carol G. (Laney) Martello-Finchum, Rocky River; sisters, Florence Luthanen, Concord Twp., Sarah (Richard) Lang, Chesterland, and Nancy Leonello, Willoughby; brothers, Peter Leonello, Eastlake, and James (Doris) Leonello, Bath; sister-in-laws, Mary Leonello, Willoughby and Myrna Leonello, Painesville; uncle, Thomas Surace, Sheffield Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Martello; brothers, Henry Leonello and Dominic Leonello; sister-in-law, Patricia Leonello; brother-in-law, Don Luthanen.
The family will receive friends at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, Thursday 7 to 9 P.M. and Friday 4 to 8 P.M.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 10 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, Rev. Lawrence N. Martello, Principal Celebrant. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
The family suggests donations in her name to St. Joseph Church Endowment for Catholic Education, 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst, OH 44001.
