The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Charles W. Hill Jr., 56, of North Ridgeville, died Monday July 9, 2007, at his home after a battle with lung cancer. Mr. Hill served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps. and was a member of VFW Post# 9871.
Survivors include sons, Shaun Splain of Tampa, FL, Richard A., Scott M., Joshua J., and Jesse R. Hill, all of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Jamie L. Hill also of Charlotte, NC; mother, Helen Hill of North Ridgeville; sister, Susan Hill (Norman Raasch) of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; and father Charles Sr.
There will be no visitation. Graveside Services will be at 10 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2007, at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 424 Middle Avenue, Elyria OH, 44035. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home of Elyria.
