The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Edward Warren Ault Sr.

Edward Warren Ault Sr., 89, of Wellington, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007, at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. He was born October 19, 1917 in Perry County and had lived in Elyria for over 40 years before moving to Wellington 12  years ago. Mr. Ault was a WW II veteran having served with the U.S. Army in the 175th Ordnance Depot Company on Luzon Island, Philippines. He had military occupational specialties in anti-aircraft artillery, squad leader, warehouse man, section leader, gun crewman medium artillery and auto mechanic. He received several medals including two bronze stars. He was the announcer for Little League baseball games, and had worked as a milkman for Bauer Dairy for many years. Later, he began selling insurance for John Hancock. In 1957, he bowled a 300 game at the Elyria Bowling Center on Broad St. in Elyria.  He also enjoyed golfing, where he once had a hole in one, and also enjoyed doing small motor repair. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 12 in Elyria.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Don) Buchanan of Sparta, WI, Christine Gray of Strongsville; two sons, Edward (Sharon) Ault II of Wellington, Charles Ault of Fitchville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a half sister, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Ruby (nee-Albright); second wife, June (nee-Sessler); parents, Charles and Lillian (nee-Fox) Ault; three brothers; two sisters; a half sister;  an infant grandson.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Route 57, Elyria. Services will be Friday at 11 A.M. in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
