Sylvia Ann Popovich (nee Vidovich), 90, of Lorain, died on Friday, June 29, 2007, at Community Health Partners HSC – West, Lorain. She was born on June 24, 1917, in Flint, MI, moving to Lorain in 1922, where she resided as a homemaker, for the rest of her life.
Sylvia attended Lorain High School. She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening and dancing to Polka music, and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicki Stewart of Long Beach, CA; her two grandchildren; Greg Rozic of New York, and Tracy France of Solon; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Popovich, in 1976; a daughter, Christine Rozic, in 1999; parents; Rok and Anna (nee Sklebek) Vidovich; and her four brothers; Steve, Charles, John, and Michael Vidovich.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 11, 2007, 10 A.M., for graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Simon Nekic, Pastor of St. Vitus, will officiate.
