John Perry Roberts, 92, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday morning at the Elms Retirement Village, in Wellington, after a long illness. He was born Thursday, November 12, 1914 in Cleveland, living in the LaGrange area since 1960. He was
a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy in the 83Rd battalion in the Seabee’s during WWII.
He is survived by one son, George Roberts; five daughters, Virginia Lawrence, Ruth Ann Nilger, Lida Knapp, Liz Carmel, and Mary Lou Boyd; 17 grandchildren and 20 great- grand children; sisters, Alice Roberts and Rita Limpert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; and his parents, George & Agnes Roberts; and one brother.
Friends may call at the Blackburn-Duke funeral Home, 1021 Main St. Grafton, Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. with a mass, in Our Lady Queen of Peace, 708 Erie St., Grafton, at 10 A.M. with Fr.
