The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Florence E. May, 89, resident of Elyria, died on Sunday, July 29 at the Brookside Estates in Middleburg Heights. She was born in Brunswick, and lived in Olmsted Falls and Columbia Station for many years.
She is a graduate of Strongsville High School and the M.B. Johnson School of Nursing in Elyria. She received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the Payne Bolton School of Nursing and a Master of Arts Degree from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. She pursued a long successful career in nursing at many different hospitals and teaching institutions.
She is the daughter of the late Clara Emma Brasse May and Arthur William May; sister of the late Clarence J., Charles E. and Chester A. May; aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt of many.
Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Baker Osinski Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front St., Berea, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 A.M.
Interment will be at Columbia Cemetery.
