Wayne D. Stinchcomb, 90, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Home. He was born in Columbia Station, on June 10, 1917, son of the late George Lewis and Ethel Dair Stinchcomb. He was a former resident of Lorain and Huron Counties, moving to Ashland in 1982.
He was a 1935 graduate of Columbia Station High School.
He was a farmer in Huron County and had also previously been employed at Columbia Hills Greenhouse.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland and the Senior Citizens of Ashland County.
On November 10, 1951 he married Alice E. Meyers who survives him. Also surviving is his sister, Connie Meyers of Bloomville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sons, Wayne Scott in 1952 and William Robert in 1956; daughter, Betty Jean Stinchcomb on November 5, 1982; and brother, Wilbur Stinchcomb in January, 2006.
Friends may call at Noon until the time of service at 1 P.M. Friday, August 3, 2007, at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, 313 Center St., Ashland. Dr. F.R. "Butch" White will officiate.
Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
