Elyria Big League softball all-stars lose two at regional

WYOMING, Mich. — After a promising first day, the Elyria All-Stars had a rough second day and now may need a few miracles in the Big League softball regional tournament.
Elyria lost both its games Sunday and stands 2-2 in the five-team round-robin tournament, whose winner goes to the national Big League (16-18) World Series.
Elyria probably has to win its final round-robin game today at 3 p.m. against undefeated Wisconsin and hope one or two other teams lose today.
On Sunday, Elyria left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh in a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Indiana, then got manhandled 9-0 by the tournament host team from Michigan’s District 9.
