9:42 p.m. – 100 block Longfellow St., 13-year-old male charged with theft for allegedly stealing a bicycle.
11:45 p.m. – 1100 block Melvyn Lane, juvenile males broke into house and stole sunglasses.

Wednesday, Aug. 16
12:10 a.m. – Cascade Street and Lake Avenue, woman was assaulted by boyfriend, who ripped off her top and smashed her head against a guardrail.
6:39 a.m. – 400 block Eighth St., window busted out of car.
6:45 a.m. – 500 block Case Ave., cooking grill stolen from yard.

12 p.m. – 80 block of S. Main St., nearly $50,000 stolen from woman’s bank account by way of e-mail scam.

9:48 p.m. – 100 block West St., Kipton Mayor Dennis Watson receiving harassing phone calls from woman telling him he messed up the Kipton Police Department.

2 p.m. – 3600 block Albany Ave., thief stole tire rims, metal and some aluminum siding off house.
8:18 p.m. – 4500 block Elyria Ave., Cathedral of Praise, about $800 worth of damage done to playground equipment.

10:07 a.m. – 3700 block Oberlin Ave., First Federal Savings, man tried to cash three bad checks for nearly $2,000.
10:47 a.m. – 1400 block W. 19th St., man threatening to kill another man.
1 p.m. – 2200 block E. 28th St., Darmo’s Café, two air conditioning units worth $3,000 were vandalized.
1:44 p.m. – 1800 block E. 31st St., house broken into.
3:36 p.m. – 1000 block E. 32nd St., A-1 Welding, Matthew Garza, 18, of Lorain, James Mauricio, 19, of Lorain, and Canaan Watson, 19, of Lorain, all charged with breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools and theft.
5:01 p.m. – 2400 block E. 30th St., man entered woman’s house while she was sleeping, but fled when the woman woke up.

9 p.m. – 1500 block Ohio Ave., woman having psychological problems.
10:31 p.m. – 2700 block Oakdale Ave., Central Park pool, three juveniles cited for trespassing after swimming in pool after hours.

12:29 a.m. – 3100 block Victory Ave., motorist said another motorist shot seven gunshots; police located one projectile.
12:31 a.m. – West 23rd Street and Beech Avenue, juvenile male, curfew.
12:46 a.m. – 2200 block W. 21st St., woman treated for cut to her hand.
12:49 a.m. – West Fifth Street, window on passing vehicle was shattered by unknown object.
1 a.m. – 1700 block Long Ave., four juveniles, curfew violations.
2:25 a.m. – 300 block W. 23rd St., Highland Grill, three gunshots were fired and man was struck by fleeing car.
5:38 a.m. – 2800 block Riverside Drive, woman hit another woman in the head with a coffee cup, repeatedly.
