College offers free week for undecided

CINCINNATI — For those who haven’t decided yet whether college is for them, a campus is offering a week to check classes out without commitment. Chatfield College, a Roman Catholic liberal arts college that offers associate’s degrees, opened a new campus in Cincinnati in June.

This week, it’s free of charge or paperwork to anyone who wants to try it out.

Students need only to sign in and get a guest pass, then can sit in on whatever classes they want.
If a student decides to register, college staff will help with forms and financial aid applications.

“We just thought (that) if bad information or lack of information was keeping people from college, we need to do something about that,” said Bob Peiffer, Chatfield College’s vice president for academic affairs.
