The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Kathryn Gallagher Kinder, 77, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007, in the Northwest Ohio Hospice Inpatient Center, Toledo.
She was born September 3, 1929 in Pittsburgh, to Leroy and Kathryn Hackenberg. She and her late husband, George, owned and operated the Gallagher Insurance Agency in Elyria prior to her working for the Veteran’s Administration. Kay enjoyed raising her children, shopping and looking pretty.
She is survived by her children, Patty (Jerry) Farrington, Nancy Becker, Cheryl (Dennis) Kuack, Maureen (Jon) Counts, Deborah (Ron) Irvan, Lesalie (Bill) Talkington-Fether, George (Theresa) Gallagher, Janet Lynn Gallagher and Kathryn "Kitty" Biglow; grandchildren, Rick Valentik, Vaedra Hall, Amy Hall, Jason Farrington, Chad Becker, DeAnna Becker, Leah Kuak-Gordon, Alana Creech, Jessica Kuak, Lisa Counts, Chris Counts, Travis Irvan, Kyle, Laura and Lindsay Talkington, and Austin, Lawrence and Lillian Biglow; and brother, Roy Hackenberg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, DeLaura Gallagher; and sister, Karen Clark.
Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (West of Corey), Toledo, on Saturday, August 25, 2007, after 1 p.m. where Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m.
