The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Tina Larkins, 38, of Elyria, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 21, 2007.
She was a devoted mother who enjoyed taking care of her children. She graduated from LCCC and had been an Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Navy for five years.
She is survived by her parents, Bobbi Santacroce of New York state, and Edward McHenry of Pennsylvania; son, Evan Larkins; and daughter, Jade Larkins; brothers, Brett of Pennsylvania, Bart of Kentucky; sister, Julie of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Thursday, August 23, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Open Door Senior Center, 43275 state Route 113, Elyria. Associate Pastor Bill Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wellsboro, Pa.
Further arrangements will be handled by Carleton Funeral Home, Wellsboro, PA 570-724-2200.
