Emery Harvey Klooz, Sr., 83, of Columbia Station, died Thursday, August 23, 2007, following a long illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Columbia Station. Emery drove school bus for Columbia Local School System for 30 years. He was a farmer his entire life and an active member of the Valley City VFW Post # 5563, where he had served in several offices and was currently on the Board of Trustees. Emery was a man who enjoyed life to its fullest. He was a great story teller, a collector of tractors and an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his children, Sharon (Fred) Ruder, of Elyria, and Emery (Wanda) Klooz, Jr., of Columbia Station; grandchildren, Heather Mowinski of Columbia Station, Emery Klooz III, of Strongsville, and Amy Klooz of North Royalton; sister, Irene Borling, of Columbia Station; and brother- John Klooz, of Columbia Station.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred "Millie" (nee Gombar) Klooz, in 1994.
Calling hours are Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City.
Funeral Services will be Monday, August 27, 2007, at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.
