Juanita Chadock Mathess, 74, of Grafton, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. She was born April 14, 1933 in Wirt Co. WV, a daughter of the late John and Anna Kelly Chadock. Juanita was a graduate of Wirt Co. High School, was retired from Schields I.G.A. in North Eaton, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Clifford E. Mathess of Grafton; sons, Stephen Mathess and wife Evelyn, and Terry Mathess, all of Grafton; grandson, Duane Mathess of San Diego, CA; sisters, Marguerite Hillferding of Baltimore, MD, Shirley Newhouse of Davisville, WV, and June Smith of Parkersburg WV; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Noodles.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Chadock; and sister, Ruth Coury.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg, WV.
Services will be at 10 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Wolverton Cemetery, Wirt Co.
