The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Steven A. Drahan, 47, of Elyria, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007, at Parma Community Hospital, following a short illness.
orn in Cleveland, he had been a resident of the Elyria and North Ridgeville area for most of his life.
Mr. Drahan was a truck driver for ECK Cartage in Cleveland for 16 years. He enjoyed motorcycles and classic GTO’s.
Survivors include his daughter, Darlene (Eric) Anderson of Huron; son, Steven D. of North Ridgeville; parents, Frank and Margaret Drahan (nee Gura) of Strongsville; brother, Frank A. of North Olmsted; sisters, Debra (Joe) Shaffer of Eaton Twp., Karen Gonzalez of North Ridgeville, Diana (Frank) Murphy of North Royalton; his companion of six years, Debra Zvara of Elyria; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 2 P.M. at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Dr. Richard A. Gonser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
