Frank L. Pasadyn, 82, of Grafton, passed away Friday, August 24, 2007, at his residence after a brief illness. He was born September 8, 1924 in Grafton and had lived in the Grafton area his entire life. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church all his life. Mr. Pasadyn was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre during WW II as a gunner.
He was employed by York International in Elyria as a welder for 30 years. He was a life member of Hinkson-Hysell VFW Post # 3341 in Grafton. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, fishing and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene Pasadyn (nee Kurdas); daughters, Noreen DeMarco of Grafton, Karen Cassell of Penfield; son, Skip (Shellie) Pasadyn of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Connie Szabo of Parma, Lena Puka of Westlake, and Josephine Klingshirn of Grafton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl & Mary Ann Pasadyn; brothers, Walter, Mike, Ben, and Alex; and sisters, Pauline Thomas and Harriet Barden.
Friends may call at the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, on Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 6 to 9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 27, 2007 at 10 A.M. in Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1033 Elm St., Grafton, with Rev. John Seabold officiating. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Twp.
