Luther Tony Miller, 70, of Lorain, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Lake Pointe Health Center in Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Miller was born August 25, 1936 in Dumas, AR and had resided in the Lorain County area for 40 years. He was a member of Worship Cathedral, Inc. in Lorain.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 32 years of service as a supervisor at the main post office in Cleveland. He enjoyed playing cards and was an avid sports fan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Olla Miller (nee Hatcher) of Lorain; daughters, Nina Freeman of Lorain, Cheryl Miller and Diane Miller, both of Atlanta, GA, and Carol Miller of San Francisco, CA; sons, Norlan Williams of Lorain, Jesse Miller of Plano, TX, Edward Miller of Lorain, and Reggie Miller of St. Louis, MO; sister, Mary Louise Jackson of Atlanta, GA; brother, Mike Jackson of Lorain; 32 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ora B. Miller; sons, Anthony Miller and Steven Miller; daughter, Niola Knowles; brothers, Jesse Jackson and William Miller.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 27, 2007 from 6 to 9 P.M. at Worship Cathedral, 321 Colorado Avenue, Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 12 Noon at Worship Cathedral. Apostle Terrance N. Bivins, pastor, will officiate.Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
