Richard C. Pendleton, 77, of Elyria, died Sunday, August 26, 2007. He was born July 16, 1930 in Lynn, MA to the late Harry N. and Geneva (nee Devitt) Pendleton.
Mr. Pendleton retired in 1985 from Elyria Memorial Hospital were he worked as a Nursing Assistant for 25 years. He had served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Elyria, where he was a member of the church choir.
Richard enjoyed time with his family, was an avid reader, and enjoyed walking.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, JoAnn (nee Thornton); daughters, Melanie A. Davis (husband, Michael) of Elyria, and Richelle C. Pendleton of Elyria; grandson, Parke P. Grocott of Elyria; sister, Cynthia Perkins of NH.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Harry Jr., Robert, George, Donald; and sister, Constance.
Friends may call 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, August 28th at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home at Chestnut Ridge Rd. and State Rt. 57, Elyria, where Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, August 29th. Rev. Roger Talbot, Pastor, of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery.
