The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Helen A. Super (nee Disien), 83, of Elyria, died on Monday, August 27, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Super was born in Cleveland, on June 1, 1924, and made her home in Elyria since 1946.
She was employed as a secretary for the Lear Siegler Company in Elyria for 31 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the St. Jude Seniors.
Mrs. Super is survived by two sons, Gary of Van Nuys, Calif., and Ron of Newport News, Va.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, David Disien of Windsor; and sister, Irma Jordan of S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Super in 1981; brother, Norbert Disien; and her parents, Arthur and Clara (nee Balogh) Disien.
Friends will be received at Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, 5 to 8 p.m.Friday. Funeral services will be 9 a.m.Saturday at the funeral home, followed by Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. The Rev. Father Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
