The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Robert D. Fenton, 78, of Lorain, formerly of Cleveland and Corry, Pa., passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at his home following a lengthy illness.
Friends may call at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary Church, intersection of Exchange and Ohio Streets, Vermilion, 10 a.m. Saturday. Fr. James Holmer will officiate.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville, will conduct military honors.
