A Maryland lottery official said early today that a winning Mega Millions ticket for Friday’s estimated $330 million jackpot was sold at a liquor store in Baltimore County.
Maryland Lottery Director Buddy Roogow said a winning ticket was sold at Walther Liquors in Nottingham at 5:10 p.m. Friday, and that the winner had not come forward.
It was not immediately known if there were other winning tickets sold in other states, Roogow said.
If estimates of the jackpot hold true, it would be the fourth-largest in the lottery’s history.
It was known as The Big Game when it awarded jackpots of $363 million in 2000 and $331 million in 2002.
