The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Donna H. Meese (nee Kuhl), 66, of Elyria, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007 at New Life Hospice in Lorain following a lengthy illness. She was born December 20, 1940 in Sandusky, and resided in Elyria most of her life.
Donna was a member of Al-Anon and the Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald; son, David (wife Natalie) of Grafton Township; daughter, Debbie Bozman of Carlisle Township; eight grandchildren; brother, Robert Kuhl (wife Rhonda) of Elyria.
She is preceded in death by a son, Donny in 1998; and her parents, Elmer and Helen (nee Brod) Kuhl.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., Elyria from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday. Rev. William Burkett, Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
