The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Marian I. Cronowalt

Marian I. Cronowalt, 89, of Vermilion, died Sunday morning, September 2, 2007, at The Inn At Chappel Creek following a short illness. She was born on November 2, 1917 in Vermilion Twp. and had been a lifelong resident of Vermilion Twp. She was a 1935 graduate of Vermilion High School. She was a homemaker who took a deep interest in antiques and enjoyed traveling abroad with her late husband. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church and was a life member of the Firelands Historical Society.
She is survived by her cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy “Dick” Cronowalt; parents, Sherman and Adella (Driver) Shoop; and two brothers Grant and Myron.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Hinman-Tanner Funeral Home, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Berlin Heights.
