EATON TWP. – Midview’s Jacki Street had 12 kills, two solo blocks and eight block assists as the Middies defeated
Rocky River 25-19, 25-19, 25-22 in West Shore Conference action on Tuesday.

Stephanie Bayus had 15 service points (four aces), while Maureen Kessler had 12 kills for the Middies (3-1, 3-0 WSC). Courtney Chalmers had 27 digs, and Katelin Oster had 13 digs. Hannah Durant had 35 assists, while Molly McCarthy had 16 assists.

AVON – Christina Herbst had 15 kills and five block kills for the Eagles (1-3, 1-2 WSC), and Katie Swinehart had four service points for the Sailors (1-5, 0-3 WSC).

OLMSTED FALLS – Annie Kelly had 14 service points (three aces), and Julie Radigan had 35 assists for the Bulldogs (7-1, 3-0 SWC). Miranda Barnhart and Lisa Bakaitis had seven kills apiece for the Shoregals (1-4, 1-2 SWC).

NORTH OLMSTED Elyria ’s Alex Treuel shot a medalist score of 37 to lead the Pioneers to a Northeast Ohio Conference win over Lakewood and a non-conference win over Midpark at Springvale on Tuesday.

The Pioneers (4-1, 3-0 NOC) shot 162, while the Meteors shot 169 and the Rangers shot 181.

The Lions (4-1) had a 6-0 halftime lead as Lake Ridge goalie Emily Kurtz had to make just one save.

ELYRIA – Elyria Catholic’s singles players Emily Mueller and Cara Dlugosz, along with the first doubles team of Morgan Baker and Nicole Campana, won matches as the Panthers (4-1) defeated Beaumont 3-2 in non-conference action on Tuesday. Mueller lost just one  game, while Dlugosz also won in straight sets, including a tiebreaker in the first set. Baker and Campana also won in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.

WELLINGTON Wellington ’s boys and Lutheran West’s girls were the winners in a Patriot Athletic Conference quad meet on Tuesday. Angel Senquiz of Clearview was the top boy finisher, and Liz Bailey of Columbia was the top girls finisher.
