The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Yvonne M. (nee Holata), 57, of Elyria, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at The Cleveland Clinic following a long illness. She was born May 14, 1950 in Cleveland and was an Elyria resident for 18 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria and enjoyed gardening, cooking, redecorating, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Donald; sons, Jeremy (Heather) Durdil of Elyria and Nicholas (Dana) Durdil of Columbus; two grandchildren; parents, Robert and Beatrice Holata of Sagamore Hills; sisters, Patricia Mlinarcik of Munroe Falls and Becky Hinsh of Akron; brother, Michael Holata of Strongsville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Holata.
There will be no visitation.
A Memorial Mass will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Avenue, Elyria. The Reverend Charles Diederick will be the Celebrant. Memorial contributions can be made to the Yvonne Laskowski Memorial Fund, in care of The Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
