The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Lottie J. Nibert

Lottie J. Nibert, 88, of Lorain, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville, following a brief illness. She was born March 19, 1919 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident.

She was a homemaker and at one time employed as an inspector for the Western Automatic Company in Lorain. She was also a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed playing bingo, tatting, baking, and time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Raymond of N. Ridgeville; three grandchildren, Melonie Flanagan of Bratenahl, Brian Raymond of N. Ridgeville and Kevin Raymond of Amherst; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Julia Trebonik and Jean Podboy, both of Lorain and Teena Lepkowski of Amherst; and several  nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Nibert; parents, Frank and Valerie (nee Jachym) Kuznar; sisters, Stella Tusko and Mary Smigel; and brothers, Mike, John, Ben and Joe Kuznar.

The family will recieve friends on Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 10 A.M. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 2702 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.  The Reverend David Novak, parish administrator, will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Arrangements entrusted to Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, Lorain.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th St., Cleveland, OH  44119.
