Bernice E. Richards

Bernice E. Richards, (nee Lewis), 89, of Wellington, died Tuesday, September 11, 2009 at E.M.H. Regional Medical Center in Elyria following a short illness. She was born February 4, 1918 in Kipton and was a Lorain County resident most of her life.

Mrs. Richards worked at the former Pfaudler Corporation in Elyria for 22 years. After retirement, she worked at Echoing Hills in Warsaw, OH.

She was a member Faith Christian Church in Wellington. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, reading the Bible and socializing.

Survivors include a son, James “JR” Richards of Wellington; sister, Florence Weitzel of Elyria; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah, (nee Berg) Lewis, and her brothers, Russel and Richard Lewis.

Friends may call Thursday, September 13, 2007, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Route 57, Elyria.

Services will be Friday, September 14, 2007, at 10 A.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Tom Keller will officiate.
Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery.
