The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Paul Jeffrey Armstrong, 45, of Parma Heights, died suddenly on Monday, September 17, 2007.
He was born March 18, 1962 in Charleston, W.Va. Mr. Armstrong was employed by TST Trucking as a truck driver.
He enjoyed playing poker, cooking, camping and loved family gatherings.
He is survived by his mother, Esther Ricker (husband, John) of Elyria; sisters, Jill Ann Dick (husband, Michael) of South Euclid, and Jennifer L. Sipes (husband, Michael) of Elyria; brothers, James "Kevin" Armstrong (wife, Shelley) of Seven Hills, Joe Dean Armstrong (wife, Leanne) of New London, and Jerry Armstrong of Elyria; uncle of nine.
He was preceded in death by his father, James.
Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home at Chestnut Ridge Road and state Route 57, Elyria, where funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Robert Pritchard from Cleveland Free Will Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be private.
