Marguerite Karahuta

Marguerite Karahuta, formerly of Lorain, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, in Rochester, Mich..

She was born July 17, 1917, and was a graduate of St. Mary High School and Oberlin Business College and was employed as an accountant in Lorain and Elyria for many years.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Parish and Quota Club International.Surviving are her son, David (Mary Lou) Karahuta of Vermilion and Southport N.C.; daughter, Patricia (Philip) Geyer of Rochester, Mich.; sister, Irene Pinter of Glen Allen, Va.; two grandsons, Scott (Melissa) Geyer of Oxford, Mich., and Kevin (Colleen) Geyer of Troy, Mich; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Karahuta; and parents, Edward and Mary Moresi.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rochester, Mich. 

A burial service will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at 11 a.m.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
