The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present.  Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Robert W. Eichholz

Robert W. Eichholz, 74, of Lorain, died Saturday, September 22, 2007, at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Eichholz was born in Lorain, on June 8, 1933. He was a Marine Corps veteran and graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a bachelor’s degree, with honors, in engineering.

He loved to travel and for traveled throughout the continental U.S. in his motor home.

He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, computering, photography and bike riding.

He was often seen "riding the loop" - south on state Route 58, across Cooper Foster Park Road, north on Broadway and then back home, sometimes twice a day.

He is survived by a son, Mark J. Eichholz of Amherst; five grandchildren; sisters, Elsa Satterfield of Amherst, Kathy Koury of Lorain; and brother, James Eichholz of Tucson, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Irma (nee Bortner) Eichholz.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 4 p.m. in the home of his sister, Kathy Koury, 4416 Forest Hill Dr., Lorain.

Letters and cards of condolence may be mailed to the family through the funeral home or left at the funeral home’s web site, www.boyer-cool.com.

    Went to school at Lorain High with him- will not be able to attend funeral - So sorry — cz I lived on W 27th St Now in Henrietta
