Alice Lela McClain (nee King), 85, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of North Ridgeville, passed away in Tucson, Thursday, August 9, 2007 after a long illness. Mrs. McClain was born January 21, 1922 near East Union.
Mrs. McClain enjoyed participating in and visiting flea markets. She was an avid jewelry craftsperson, which she sold at the markets. She enjoyed reading, a "good" movie, and crossword puzzles. She was an open and loving mother and friend.
Mrs. McClain will be sadly missed by her husband of 50 years, Clarence "Curly" McClain of Tucson; sons, John (Jackie) Buckley and Michael (Lisa) McClain, both of Elyria; daughter, Bonnie Jennison of NH; brother, Don King of Willoughby; sisters, Marjorie Spears of East Lake, Patricia Ely of Columbus, and Linda Krohn of NC; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her parents, P. Clifford and Lillian King (nee Miller); and brothers, John, Clifford, Lloyd, and Jack King.
Memorial Services will be at East Union Cemetery, Sunday, October 7, 2007, at 2 P.M.
