Simonne F. Tellier (nee LaPorte), 91, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon. She was born February 22, 1916 in St. Jean-DeMatha, Quebec, Canada. She lived in MA until moving to Elyria with her family in 1958.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Elyria and a former member of St. Agnes Church, Elyria.
Her interests included sewing, crocheting, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by sons, Raymond (Sandra) Tellier of Elyria and Herve (Anita) Tellier of Amherst; daughters, Pauline Tomasek of Sheffield Village and Alice Layne of Grafton; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Raymonde Durand; brothers, Augustin and Jean-Marc LaPorte all of Quebec, Canada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Tellier in 1985; parents; four sisters; and seven brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 1, 2007, 9:30 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 41295 North Ridge Rd., Elyria. Rev. James R. Ols will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
