The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Wilda J. Leber, 79, of Greenwich, died peacefully Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, after a two week illness. She was born April 13, 1928 in Rochester Twp., Lorain County. She had been a Greenwich area resident most of her life.
She was a 1946 graduate of Brighton High School.
She decorated cakes for many years, enjoyed sewing, needlework, gardening, and caring for the family farm with her husband.
She was a member of the Neighborhood Women’s Club and a member of the Wesley Evangelical Church of Shiloh. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Leber is survived by her husband, Howard, whom she married October 20, 1946; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Deb Leber of Greenwich, Scott Leber of Rockford, IL; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Fred Ramsey of Norwalk, Marlene and Richard Wiles of Willard, and Pat and Dick Shriver of Shiloh; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter Jewett of Ashland; and sisters, Alma Nemeth of Missoula, MT, and Theda Vickers of Sun City, AZ.
In addition to here parents, John Arthur and Abbie (Parker) Jewett, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Jewett, Lewis Jewett, and Wendell Jewett; and a sister, Ersa Crittenden.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 P.M. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Wesley Evangelical Church of Shiloh, 58 E. Main St., Shiloh (St. Rte. 603 East) with a Memorial Service at 3 P.M.
