The Lorain County General Health District's Vital Statistics Office houses the birth and death records beginning in 1908 to the present. Certificates of births and deaths occurring in all of Lorain County, except for the city of Lorain, are available at the health district.

Randy E. Seel, 50, of LaGrange died Thursday, September 27, 2007 at E.M.H. Regional Medical Center in Elyria following a sudden illness. He was born December 16, 1956 in Gallipolis, and was a resident of LaGrange since 1967.
Randy enjoyed riding his bicycle, Bingo, collecting stuffed animals, playing cards with his family and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his parents, Arnold and Wanda (nee Smith) Seel of LaGrange; sisters, Vickie Calabrese of LaGrange, Terri (Craig) Carter of Grafton, and Kim (Tim) Daniels of LaGrange; brothers, Jerry Smith of Vermilion, and John Seel of LaGrange; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road at State Route 57, Elyria. Services will be Monday, October 1, 2007 at 11 A.M. in the Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Shavor from Crossroad Baptist Church in Oberlin will officiate. Burial will follow in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange.
