Agnes M. Berchak (nee Stark), 93 of North Ridgeville, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Life Care Center of Elyria following a long illness. She was born May 9, 1914 in Dover, OH, now known as Westlake. She had resided in North Ridgeville the past 71 years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, where she was a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. Johns. She worked as a retail salesperson for Halles Dept. Store at Westgate, retiring in 1964 after sixteen years of service. Prior to that, she had worked at Ridge Freeze Locker Plant in North Ridgeville.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet Docs (Charles) of Avon, Joan Isenberg (William) of of North Ridgeville, and Carol Smith (George) of North Ridgeville; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; great-grandson, Nathan Smith; parents, John and Elizabeth Stark; six sisters, Marie Schwartz, Helena Wald, Irene Bement, Rose Fischer, Christine Diederich and Viola Nagel; and three brothers, John, Joseph and Ray Stark.
Friends will be received 5- to 8 P.M. Monday, October 1 at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday. Funeral Mass to follow at 10 A.M. at St. Peter Church with Rev. Stephen Kaminski, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
