Victor Erwin Weisman, 96, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Life Care of Elyria. Victor was born in Elyria, December 13, 1910, to Rudolph Mathias and Louise (nee Hunkley) Weisman. Victor was a lifelong resident of Elyria and graduated from Elyria High. In the 1930’s, Victor sailed on the Great Lakes six years for the Reiss Steamship Company ore boats.

He was Scoutmaster for Allen School Troop 144 for many years in the 50’s and 60’s. Victor was a master craftsman designing and building his own home, fishing boats and many other items. A builder of working steam and gas model engines, he showed them for over 30 years at the LaGrange Engine Shows. He built many models long after his retirement. Victor and his wife, Lucy, traveled to every State in the U. S. during their life. Victor was a free thinker and lived a long, active and productive life. He was a wonderful father and will be sadly missed.
