Clarence "Boogie" Williams, Jr., 53, of Elyria, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria. Mr. Williams was born October 5, 1953 in Oberlin. He attended Elyria High School and had lived in Elyria most of his life.
He was a former member of Greater Christ Temple in Elyria.
He had worked for General Motors and also did barbering.
He enjoyed sports, shooting pool, doing art work, and enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Rachelle Williams (nee Taylor) of Elyria; sons, Clarence James Williams and Terrence Taylor of Elyria; daughters, Juanita Williams and Lillian Williams, both of Elyria, Delana Johnson of Akron, Shondra (Raymond) Drake of Elyria, Clarissa Crek of Elyria and Olivia Patton of Lorain; mother, Virgina Williams (nee Anthony) of Elyria; brother, Mark (Ellie Sue) Williams of Elyria; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Maurice Taylor; father, Clarence Williams, Sr.; brother, David Allen Williams; sister, Juanita Williams; maternal grandparents, Elijah and Janie Anthony; paternal grandfather, Eugene Williams and paternal grandmother, Sallie McCrae.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, 233 Bell Ave., Elyria. Dr. Elder Curtis Daniels, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Arrangements by Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, Elyria.
